I am a qualified Integrative Therapist meaning that I studied and practice a variety of theories and approaches surrounding counselling. Not everyone will feel comfortable working in the same way; perhaps the past is so painful that working in the here-and-now feels more comfortable or perhaps your present situation and your responses to it can be best interpreted and understood by reflecting on the past. Together we can work out the most comfortable way to work.
During my training I worked as a bereavement counsellor for a local hospice and the Cruse bereavement service having completed additional training in this area. In addition to my private practice I also work as a counsellor at Mind working with clients from a diverse background with issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and abuse.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework. More information can be found here
